A few weeks ago, I was invited to an event in NYC to launch the new Vince Camuto Spring collection (P.S. these are the mint green sandals I wore which are so chic) and knew I wanted to wear something fabulous. Solution: a blazer dress!

I wanted a dress that was classic but also trendy, which proved to be tougher to find then I anticipated. After looking online and at the mall, I stumbled on the perfect blazer dress to compliment my sandals. Not only was it a great conversation starter at the event, but it’s something that I’m looking forward to wearing in the months to come!

Let’s be honest: there’s something about tweed that just gives me vintage Chanel vibes in the best way possible 🙂

Style tip: when wearing my dress, I opted to pin the neckline to make it a little more modest. Since I was going to an event where I would be networking, I was more comfortable with this option. However, many of these dresses have a more open neckline, giving a flirty vibe which would be so fun for a girls’ night or date night!

I also opted to wear a pair of nude spanx shorts underneath this dress, which I would not skip! Due to the blazer style of the dress, it can open slightly when you sit or bend down. Definitely a good idea when wearing this style, especially if you’re going to be taking a lot of photos while wearing the piece.
