Hi, I’m Emi and I’m so glad you’ve found your way to Preppy & Pink! Here I share colorful, classic and southern-inspired fashion, all while living on the east coast. I love a good trend here and there, but at the end of the day: I’m all about putting a preppy spin on things. Hopefully I can provide a source of inspiration or simply brighten your day!

My Blog’s Story

Growing up, fashion was a major way I connected with my dad. Any time I had on a great outfit growing up, somehow the phrase “my dad picked this out” was said. Truthfully, some of my happiest memories are spending time at the mall with him – or even going shopping at the outlet mall as I was auditioning for college. About 10 years ago, I ended up going through a tough time medically and my body changed as a result. I was scared because I didn’t know what was going on, but my dad continued to take me shopping, so no matter what I had a few go-to outfits that made me feel confident. Truthfully, I think that was the first time I realized the power of fashion.

All throughout college and into the early part of my career (I produced national tv in NYC and on Wall Street) I was always getting compliments on my outfits and my style. Living in NYC, you tend to encounter a lot of chic all-black outfits and very little seersucker; needless to say: I stuck out.

At the encouragement of my close friends, roommates and even coworkers: I decided to create Preppy & Pink in the summer of 2017!

Right now, my blog isn’t my full-time job and is truly my greatest hobby! I joke around that I work a 9-5 in marketing and a 5-9 as a blogger. I love the creativity this space brings, as well as the amazing friends I’ve made because of it.

Currently, I live with my husband and French Bulldog on Long Island. When I’m not blogging, you will probably find me taking some sort of fitness class, spending time with friends or simply soaking up life as a newly-wed!

Thanks for following along! I’m so grateful for you 🙂

xoxo, Emi
