Comfort and Joy // Cozy Sherpa Roundup

I’m all about COMFORT and JOY this holiday season! While I love dressing up in tartan, velvet and decking out in all the bows, after staying home for every holiday last year, I’m really leaning into all things cozy. In recent months, Sherpa fleece pullovers and jackets have become my favorite, but they can get so pricy (some will run you over $150) so I rounded up four of my favorite, affordable Sherpa options.

Note: all these tops are faux Sherpa and feel more like a fuzzy fleece. Wanted to clarify before moving forward 🙂

Cozy Style 1

I absolutely love this pretty white fleece snap Sherpa (you’re going to see it one more time in this post) and this white style is not only classic but is perfect for all year wear! Sometimes, I don’t like having certain items touch my neck, so I like the customization this style allows and that you’re able to choose how the piece lays on your body.

I’ve loved Abercrombie in the recent years and their re-brand was a home-run in my book (as a middle schooler in the early 2000s, my closet used to be filled with some of their older pieces and the quality is so much better now. Give them another look!)

This style has become a staple in their holiday offerings, and I always look froward to seeing the different colors this style comes in each year.

Sizing tip: I sized up one size for a perfect fit!

Sherpa Style 2

Sharing the softest and fluffiest Sherpa in the round up next: this is by far the warmest of the styles and always makes its way in my suitcase when I go visit my family in Buffalo for the holidays. Long Island has a much milder winter season than I grew up with (read: I don’t get over 10 feet of snow a year) so there are days well into February that I can wear this as a winter jacket.

While this piece often is the most expensive of the group: it often goes on sale (sometimes for up to 50% off) so be sure to click the “heart” button on the link on my LikeToKNOW.it for updates on price drops!

I’ve styled all these pieces with my favorite faux leather leggings for consistency, however I wanted to call out that from a modesty standpoint: this piece covers everything I want and could wear this to the office on a particularly chilly day.

One more shout out on my leggings: they’re a bit of a splurge however I’ve had this pair for years and not only do they look brand new, but they’re not see through and are incredibly flattering on all body types. If you’ve been on the hunt for a new pair of leggings: let this, be an option to consider.

Sizing tip for Sherpa and leggings: I sized up in both for the perfect fit!

Cozy Style 3

Raise your hand if you love gingham as much as I do! One of my favorite patterns typically is reserved for spring and summer, so when I found this cute, zippered gingham Sherpa jacket I couldn’t believe my luck! This jacket is the perfect combination of preppy mixed with snuggly cheer 🙂

I’ve been loving the recent collaborations from Target and this cream jacket is the perfect addition to my wardrobe. I love how it’s cute for winter but also will be perfect for those early chilly spring days – who can’t resist gingham paired with tulips?

One key feature to note: this jacket does have elastic at the waist and hits at a typical hip length. I did style this item with thicker leggings (I have a shorter torso and was able to pull the jacket down), but would likely be included to pair this with jeans.

Sizing tip: I ordered my usual size in this jacket and it’s still roomy. For extra length in the arms, I suggest ordering up a size.

Sherpa Style 4

Three cheers for another snap pullover! I’ve been leaning into the leopard print trend lately and I’m loving how easy this is to style and how many compliments I get when I wear this top! I always joke that “leopard is my favorite neutral” and this top seriously goes with everything!

Similar to the white version at the top of this post, I love the patterns released every year! There are some cute plaids and neutrals (hello dusty rose) that always excite me around release.

Looking for the perfect gift for a friend? You truly cannot go wrong with gifting a Sherpa top like this! With most items from Abercrombie: I always suggest sizing up in tops. These pieces typically run a little on the smaller side, so sizing up one size will guarantee a perfect fit!

Sizing tip: I ordered up one size for the perfect fit.

I’ve linked all pieces in this post and below! Let me know in the comments which Sherpa you would wear!
