Mark your calendars: the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale (formerly known as the After Party Sale) is officially being held from September 12-14th with the virtual doors opening around 8am eastern time!
The Lilly Pulitzer team was kind enough to give me the inside scoop and share a few pieces which will be part of the sale, so keep reading because I’m about to spill the juice!
Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale Details
Lilly Pulitzer’s Sunshine Sale is a bi-annual event where select pieces are marked down up to 70% and for three days only, you can shop these amazing pieces online or on the app! If you’ve had your eye on something this season, this is the perfect time to add it to your closet.
This year, the sale will be exclusively online. While in past years, the retail stores have hosted in-store preview events, this particular sale will be online only. Throughout the sale, shipping is FREE on orders of $25+ ($5 per order if your total is under $25) and all sales are final.
This year there are going to be TWO capsule releases (new styles will be added to the sale on Tuesday and Wednesday) so if you shop the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale on the first day, be sure to check the website at 12pET on Day 2 and Day 3 because you’re guaranteed to fall in love with some of the additional capsule pieces!

How Do I Shop the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale?
At 8aET on Monday, September 12th, the virtual line will open on the Lilly Pulitzer Website. Once you “reserve your spot” you’ll wait in the cue until it’s your turn to enter the sale. Upon entering the sale, you’ll be able to filter the type of item/size you’re looking for, or simply browse the entire Sunshine Sale collection. After you’ve added the items to your cart, you’ll check out! It’s that easy!
Sharing My Best Sale Tips
The Sunshine Sale only happens twice a year, so there will be a lot of other people hopping in the virtual cue on Monday. I’ve been shopping this sale for almost a decade and have picked up a few tricks – sharing my best tips I’ve learned over the years with you below:
- Enter the cue right at 8am on multiple devices to get the best chance at an early spot in line! I usually use my phone, laptop and sometimes my husband’s computer on sale days. Which brings me to my next tip…
- Have an account made ahead of time for easy checkout! If you don’t currently have a Lilly Pulitzer account (or aren’t sure if you have one) you can make an account here. This is important to have because…
- Items in your tote are not reserved and can sell out while you’re shopping. This happens frequently during the sale, so don’t be discouraged if something disappears from your tote while you’re on the site. To do your best to prevent this, I highly recommend you…
- Have a plan in advance on what you’re specifically looking for ahead of time, check out (shipping is free on orders of $25 or more) and then hop back in line! This is how I personally shop the sale and it always works out for me!
